The Solution
1. Launch of an Artisan-Friendly Marketplace
A bilingual (Hindi-English) e-commerce platform was developed with intuitive dashboards, photo-upload guides, and support chat — designed for first-time digital users.
2. On-Ground Digital Training Camps
Workshops were held across villages on product photography, pricing, online listing, storytelling, and using UPI/Paytm. Over 300 artisans participated in the first six months.
3. Local Fulfillment Hubs & Packaging Units
CraftConnect set up small logistic hubs in craft clusters with eco-packaging kits, training artisans to safely ship even fragile goods like terracotta or glasswork.
4. Personalized Branding with Origin Stories
Each product page featured artisan bios, origin village names, and QR codes linking to process videos. This not only preserved heritage but built buyer trust.
